When to contact our Customer Service team
Avis always strive to make sure you have a hassle and stress free rental, but things don't always go to plan. This is where our dedicated Customer Service team is available to help you with any issue you may have experienced during your rental.
Before contacting us, please read first the Rental Agreement, rental Terms and Conditions and the answers to the most common questions on our website.
If you can't find information about your problem, please contact our Customer Service team and quote your rental agreement or reservation number. This is so that we can recall your rental details on our system.
If we are unable to give you an answer immediately due to the nature of the issue, we will run a thorough investigation and provide the relevant feedback, with a resolution.
We will aim to resolve complaints within:
- 3 working days – if the rental took place within Romania and the complaint is not related to a dispute about damage charges.
- 15 working days – if the rental took place abroad, investigation is necessary and the complaint is not related to a dispute about damage charges.
- 30 calendar days – if the complaint relates to a dispute about damage charges, this is to ensure we get specialist assistance for queries of this nature.
European Car Rental Conciliation Service (ECRCS)
At Avis we take our Customer Service very seriously and we would like to let you know that we are a member of the European Car Rental Conciliation Service (ECRCS), who will independently review disputes at no extra cost to you.
We hope that we have resolved your query to your satisfaction. However, if you are still unhappy with our response, we will forward your dispute to the ECRCS within 30 days.
